We are skiing in a working forest environment. We actively log the land through selective cutting on a regularly planned schedule. This means that some winters we have logging operations going on that may temporarily close part of the ski trails, but they will re-open the following winter, and many times with more ski trails to enjoy.
All our ski trails are the result of previous logging operations and the trails were designed ahead of time with skiing in mind.
Over the last 13 years, our logging operations have yielded enough saw logs to create 70 new homes, enough pulp wood to create 900 tons of paper, and enough wood chips to heat a large high school in Vermont for 7 years. Yet the forest is stronger and more diverse than when we started. As you ski around take your time and notice the forest, it's forever regenerating, providing valuable wood products, and offering you a chance to hopefully have a great time.

In 2010, we received a special award for our tree farm efforts. The Vermont Woodlands Association recognized Beaver Brook Farm as the Outstanding Tree Farm of Vermont in 2010. This is a great honor and we owe many thanks to our Consulting Forester, Richard Carbonetti of LandVest, our loggers who have done a great job working in our forest, and many others that have helped us along the way.
