Our trail network has developed over the last 13 years.  When we first arrived there was one 7.5 km loop around the property.  Today there are over 30 km of trails.  We groom 20 km multiple times each week for skiing and snowshoeing.  The local  VAST snowmobile club grooms 3.5 km as part of VAST trail 145 for snowmobiles.  Skiers may use the VAST trail, but they do not have the right of way, so please exercise caution.

All our trails were created as part of logging operations.  When any of our logging operations are planned we start by laying out future recreational trails and these corridors are opened and used by the loggers to get wood products out to market.  After a logging operation it takes years of hard work to turn that open corridor into a trail suitable for recreational uses.

In 2012 there are two changes to the ski trail network.  First we are closing the North end of the trail network because of extensive damage from the rain events this year and because we are arranging a logging operation in this area this winter.  No one is allowed in this area this winter for your own safety.  Please respect this request.

We have opened one new trail that is very close to the car park.  It's a quick way to get up to the high field and the entire West side trail network.  From the main trailhead as you go around the house, take a quick left at junction 1 and head into the Norway Spruce grove.  About 100 meters into the grove, the new trail starts on the left and heads uphill quickly.  The trail is a long steep climb through the woods.  When you reach the field it flattens out along the field edge until it takes a gentle climb up to the middle of the field.  At this point it merges onto the traditional field loop that we have been grooming for years.  The trail is marked as an expert trail because of the steep section going through the woods.  However, intermediate and expert skiers should be able to climb up it and enjoy the quick access to the field.  Only expert skiers should attempt to go down it.
