Snowshoers are always welcome at Beaver Brook Farm.  Many snowshoers are concerned that they will cause damage to the trail and that is rarely the case.  In fact snowshoers can actually help by walking on the edges of the trails.

When we groom we spend most of our time riding down the middle, or just left of center, or just right of center.  That leaves the outer edges untraveled.  The grooming equipment usually reaches the edges, but because the snowmobile doesn't these areas can be softer than the rest of the trail.  That's where snowshoers can really help by packing the edges in.

As the season progresses and we can start to set track for skiers, this is the one part of the trail where we ask snowshoers to stay clear of.  Otherwise enjoy and thank-you.
